DICOM Storage Commitment – This service allows the modality or local PACS to send a request for information about successful data store to the target DPGW archive, thus ensuring safe storing of medical image documentation before it is removed from the modality/local PACS cache and preventing possible subsequent data loss. This service can only be configured for modalities supporting DICOM Storage Commitment.
